AMPD COMPANY
The AMPD Company program is for dancers looking to strengthen their technique and artistry, take on more responsibility, and compete at three local competitions. Students in these programs have a passion and drive for dance and exhibit exceptional leadership, discipline, and teamwork.
Students interested in the AMPD Company have the following expectations:
Actively incorporate constructive feedback and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and improve through persistent practice and effort.
Show their capacity to elevate their individual performance quality by practicing consistently throughout the week outside of class & rehearsal
Demonstrate leadership by setting a positive example for fellow students. Students must show respect for the instructor by listening attentively and responding to guidance during in regular classes, at studio events, and competitions.
Manage their time effectively, in relation to their age and company level, in the rehearsal space. Students are expected to arrive 5-10 minutes early to class, ensure their dance bag contains all necessary items, and prepare for class or performance both mentally and physically.
Mini Company 6 + 7 yrs
Mini Company is for students who have at least 2 years of dance experience, have a passion for dance, and will be 6 years old by September 1 2025. Exceptions to these admission guidelines are at the discretion of the Artistic Director.
Mini Company has 3 hours of mandatory class time/week, including ballet technique, jazz technique, and jazz choreography.
Mini Company members compete in ONE dance (jazz) at THREE local competitions
Mini Company Tuition $299/month + GST includes
-12 classes/month
-1 competitive dance costume
-3 competition fees – including media when applicable
-team jacket
-recital video
Mini Company dancers are eligible to do an additional competitive dance (solo or duo) on top of their group number. Mini Company solos/duos are at the discretion of the Artistic Director.
Tempo Company 8 – 10 yrs
Tempo Company is for dedicated dancers who have at least one year of competitive experience and will be 8 years old by September 1, 2025. Exceptions to these admission guidelines are at the discretion of the Artistic Director.
Tempo Company has 3.75 hours of mandatory class time/week, including ballet technique, jazz technique, jazz choreography, and lyrical choreography.
Tempo Company members compete TWO dances (jazz/lyrical) at THREE local competitions
Tempo Company Tuition $425/month + GST includes
-16 classes/month
-2 competitive dance costumes
-6 compeition entry fees – including media when applicable
-team jacket
-recital video
*Tempo Company dancers have the opportunity to add an additional Stage Chorography Class for competition to their schedule.
Additional Stage Choreography Tuition +$125/month
-includes 3 competition fees, 4 classes a month, and competitive costume
Tempo Company dancers are eligible to do up to TWO additional competitive dances (1 solo & 1 duo) on top of their group number. Tempo Company solos/duos are at the discretion of the Artistic Director.
